Aliens vs. Predator Classic 2000 Free on GOG.com

Free games! Free games everywhere! The classic 2000 version of Aliens vs. Predator is now free for download on GOG.com and will be until a little past midnight on Friday specifically at 9:59AM GMT.

That's not a terrible way to get people to sign up for the GOG Galaxy beta test. An email with an activation code for the game will be sent a few days after you sign up.

This sci-fi first-person shooter has multiple single-player campaigns, Skirmish mode, and a fully-featured multiplayer mode that pits Aliens, Predators, and Marines against each other. The game will support the Xbox 360 controller and has been updated for modern systems.
