Apple could be preparing for a major event this October, following its recent iPhone launch in September. Reports suggest that Apple might unveil its newest MacBook models, alongside updates to iPads, Vision Pro, and other accessories. While the company skipped October events in 2022 and 2024, it has previously used this month for significant launches.
Will Apple release new MacBooks in 2025?
After Apple’s September iPhone launch has wrapped up, speculation is building over the possibility of an October 2025 event.
In the past, Apple has used October to debut Macs, iPads, and accessories. Though major events took place in 2021 and 2023 to unveil the products, in 2022 and 2024, the company relied on press releases for product announcements. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that this year, Apple may return to a full-scale October event. (via Mac Rumors)
While production on the next MacBook Pro models with M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max chips is reportedly underway, these devices may not launch until early 2026. Other expected updates, including OLED displays, slimmer designs, a budget MacBook, and a next-generation Studio Display, could also appear late this year or in early 2026.
Among the anticipated launches, the iPad Pro with Apple’s upcoming M5 chip is also expected to make its debut, featuring dual front cameras. The Vision Pro headset could also receive an upgrade with a faster M4 or M5 chip, improved head strap design, and a new Space Black color.
Apple is also expected to update its accessories lineup. The Apple TV could arrive with the new A17 Pro or N1 chip and include Wi-Fi 7 support. The HomePod mini is likely to feature improved audio performance, an updated Ultra Wideband chip, and new color options. AirTags may also see upgrades, offering better tracking capabilities, greater durability, and battery alerts.
As of now, Apple has not confirmed or denied the possibility of an October 2025 event.
