What Are You Playing? The Sims 4, Overwatch, Destiny 2 and More

This is a weird week, isn’t it? These five days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve are always difficult to navigate, with mostly everyone stuck in that odd period of time between not actually being on vacation from work, but not quite feeling like it’s worth doing anything of note.

Still, while we all try to find our feet before 2018 lands, there is one constant — video games. While nothing of note has released over the course of the past 7 days, that doesn’t mean that we’ve been stuck for things to play. Personally, I’ve been playing a great deal of — surprise surprise — Overwatch. Yes, my most played game of 2016 is now almost definitely my most played game of 2017, as I continue to pile hours into it per week with my boopy boy Lucio (and the latest addition to my roster of mains, Roadhog).

I’ve also been playing The Sims 4 on my Xbox One X today, after seeing how popular the game has been across the Christmas period. Unfortunately, its controls don’t translate too well to console, with its UI being quite unwieldy and making it difficult to really go in-depth with its customization options. Maybe I’ll just download the game on PC again.

Our editors have also been enjoying a few video games across the Christmas period. Like me, Jason has also been diving into Overwatch again, trying to earn those special winter skins and increasing his competitive rank before the season ends later today. He’s also been tinkering with  Car Mechanic Simulator 2018, tinkering away with the surprisingly robust PC game.

Meanwhile, Cody has been spending a lot of time with Destiny 2 throughout its The Dawning event (even though a lot of its players are very unhappy with the game right now), while continuing to spend time with the dauntingly huge Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

But that’s enough about us — what are you playing this week? Let us know in the comments section below, and don’t forget to check out our official What Are You Playing? forum thread, too.
