FIFA ‘scripting’ isn’t real and has never existed, EA confirms

EA has claimed that it has never actually implemented its “Dynamic Difficulty” mechanic in any of the current FIFA titles. This system, which aims to adjust difficulty based on the player’s current performance, has apparently remained unused in FIFA 19, despite what some players think.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons won’t support cloud saves according to producer

Those of you hoping for cloud saves to be supported in the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons, will be disappointed to hear that, at least at launch, cloud saves won’t be an option. This is to prevent players from “manipulating time” within the game’s world, which can be considered a form of cheating.

Alpha Protocol delisted from Steam

The Obsidian-developed Alpha Protocol has been delisted from Steam. This is due to “the request of the publisher.” Sega is the game’s publisher, which explained that “following the expiry of Sega’s publishing rights for Alpha Protocol, the title has been removed from Steam and is no longer on sale.”

Psychonauts 2 release date delayed until 2020

It’s bad news for Psychonauts fans, I’m afraid, as the Psychonauts 2 release date has officially been delayed until 2020. A press release confirmed the unfortunate delay, but failed to give a reason for why the game was being held back.

GameStop set to close ThinkGeek standalone stores

After a hard financial year, GameStop has stated that one possible way to recoup some of the losses is to close the majority of the ThinkGeek standalone stores. About 40 stores will remain open, should GameStop executives put this plan into motion.
