Set it and forget it

The installation is simple enough, though I’d give yourself plenty of time to limit any stress or rushing. Follow the included instructions, use the provided alcohol prep pads and wipes, and cut where necessary. Measure twice and cut once applies here, so it’s worth taking your time.

I was pleased to find a corner piece included, meaning that L-shape desks are supported. It might be a more niche setup, but L-shape desks are great and it’s nice to see Govee thinking of them and providing the necessary angle cover.

The RGBIC Neon Rope Light for Desks is thicker than I expected with a diffusion layer that provides a seamless lighting experience with no hot spots. When adhered to the desk, it feels fully secure and it remains fully stuck down after two weeks of having it installed.

Controlling the light can be done through the physical control box, voice controls, or a well-developed app. They can be synced up with other Govee products like the AI Gaming Sync Box, as well Razer Chroma.
