Rumor: Battlefield 3 Will Be Heading to Steam

Apparently, an unconfirmed, unproven, anonymous source inside Valve has informed a Battlefield 3 fansite that the company behind the world's foremost digital distribution service, Steam, is in "late-stage" talks with Electronic Arts to bring Battlefield 3 to the service.

Earlier this year, Electronic Arts pulled several of its games from Steam due to disagreements over the delivery of downloadable content and other customer service channels. Games on Steam are required to sell DLC through the service. Thus, Origin was born.

We'll let you know about any developments regarding Battlefield 3, EA, and Steam.

Even though… you know… this seems like some kind of pie-in-the-sky, probably-not-really-happening, but-hey-let's-get-some-attention, everyone-wants-it rumor… but, you know… it's-probably-not-happening-because c'mon we've-gone-over-this and i-just-don't-see-it-happening.
