Fortnite: Set Structures on Fire challenge not working

The latest Fortnite Season 6 Week 4 challenge asks players to unleash their inner pyro, but flames themselves don’t seem to be doing the trick. As reported by a number of players, the Fortnite set structures on fire challenge is not working. No matter how much the inferno spreads, this challenge won’t complete. As it turns out, the developers are well aware of the issue, with an update on the way.

Fortnite Set Structures on Fire challenge isn't working

This Season 6 Week 4 challenge is very straightforward: Fortnite fans merely need to set structures on fire ten times. However, a bug is preventing the challenge from completing, leading players to wonder why the challenge is not working.

As it turns out, the problem doesn’t have anything to do with the act of setting structures ablaze. It’s still possible to catch things on fire either by using exploding gas cans, Fireflies, or the Flame Bow, if one is available. It’s a fine strategy to master, too, as burning structures can leave opponents open to counter-attack.

The problem here is that this Season 6 quest progress isn’t being tracked correctly. Some players have loaded into matches and burned everything in sight without a single bit of progress being made. It’s not a matter of burning the right objects — nothing seems to work toward quest completion.

Thankfully, the developers are aware of the issue. While the set structures on fire challenge is not working now, it should be sometime soon. Past Fortnite challenges have been glitched before, and most were usually patched relatively quickly. In more rare cases, the challenges themselves were simply replaced.

For right now, the set structures on fire challenge isn’t working. You can still light things ablaze, but the Fortnite Season 6 Week 4 challenge can’t be completed just yet. Hold tight while the developers sort out a fix, and this challenge should be working again soon. In the meantime, check out our easy tips on how to get better at Fortnite.
