Hack ‘n’ Slash Launch Trailer Shows Off Hacking Gameplay With Early Access

Double Fine have unveiled their latest Steam Early Access indie game dubbed Hack 'n' Slash, a puzzle action game that gives players the power to alter the game code on their way to victory.

You literally open up menus and change parameters to cheat, hack, and reverse engineer the gameplay in order to win battles and complete the game's story. The title will launch this summer for $14.99 on PC, Mac, and Linux.

You'll take on the role of Alice, an elf who can use "her computer hacking skills to cheat her way through a classic action/adventure game." We'll have more on Hack 'n' Slash as it nears release. Until then, check out the cheesy throwback trailer from Double Fine above.

You can play the game at PAX East this weekend and if you're attending, be on the look our for Anthony, Alex, and Gil who will be covering Boston's biggest gaming convention.
