Ever wanted to leap off the Battle Bus and play Fortnite to your heart’s content with no restrictions? The Fortnite Playground LTM, giving users the chance to mess about in the map with friends, plus no fear of deaths or other repercussions, might just be perfect for you. Unfortunately, the Fortnite Playground LTM release date hasn’t been forthcoming since Epic mentioned it back in May. However, that may be about to change, as you’ll soon find out.
Fortnite Playground LTM Release Date: Where is the Fortnite Practice Mode?
Epic’s State of Development V5, posted May 25, mentioned the inclusion of the Fortnite Playground LTM but, since then, there’s been radio silence from Epic… until now.
As of June 24, almost exactly a month later, a Fortnite updates post has cropped up on the Fortnite menu, indicating that the LTM is ‘coming soon.’ As is the case with the majority of Fortnite update mentions (such as the jetpack or shopping cart) a mere mention of a new update would mean that you can expect it within the week. In this case, July 1 would be the absolute latest we can expect Fortnite playground.
Fortnite Playground LTM Release Date: What is Fortnite Playground?
So, what is it? In Epic’s own words, it is a space where you can “Battle and build to your heart’s content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you’ll respawn immediately.”
In essence, a practice mode where you can muck about with your mates. It’s unclear, though, if you can complete challenges during the LTM, though that would certainly be a big help.
Fortnite Playground LTM Release Date: What is a LTM?
LTM stands for ‘Limited Time Mode’ which would mean that the Fortnite Playground mode would only be around for a short period of time, most likely 7-10 days.
