New characters are coming to make a racket. But, if you’ve kept tabs on the Mario Tennis Aces datamine, you’d have already known that. Long story short, users dove into the code upon the release of the game’s demo and found new characters which, as of writing, aren’t included in the game. Below, you’ll find the complete list of hidden DLC characters, as well as a possible missing boss who might crop up in future.
Mario Tennis Aces Datamine: List of Characters
The Mario Tennis Aces datamine pulled out the following list of 21 characters:

However, Diddy Kong, Boom Boom, Shy Guy, Kamek, Dry Bones, Dry Bowser, Birdo and Koopa Paratrooper are currently not available in-game. That’s in addition to Koopa Trooper and Blooper who can both be unlocked in the July 2018 and August 2018 tournaments respectively. There is, however, good news on the horizon.
Mario Tennis Aces Datamine: Birdo, Diddy Kong, Koopa Paratrooper
A trio of the missing characters, Birdo, Diddy Kong and Kooper Paratrooper, are coming to the game ‘this fall’, according to Nintendo. They will be completely free and, more importantly, confirms that the Mario Tennis Aces datamine proved correct. Which makes the tennis title’s missing boss just that much more interesting.

According to @Blazingfire, ‘The full list of Bosses is Petey Piranha, Gooper Blooper, boss_icegolem, boss_esterkoopa, boss_mirage, boss_statuekoopa, and inishienoudedameshi’
Matching them up to the game’s actual bosses, though, shows that the final boss in that list is not present anywhere in the game. It could be nothing but, as the rest of the Mario Tennis Aces datamine came up trumps, it’s an interesting missing piece of the puzzle.
