Fortnite Sniper Shootout Update 5.21

Fortnite Sniper Shootout Changes: What’s New in the Returning Fortnite Sniper Shootout Limited Time Mode?

Fortnite Update 5.21 has re-introduced the Fortnite Sniper Shootout, albeit with several changes. The Limited Time Mode (LTM) was originally introduced way back in Patch 2.30, of which the most recent update was previously Sniper Shootout V3 in Patch 4.40. In this Fortnite LTM, players battle against each other using only sniper rifles as weapons. Read on below, where we have listed all the Fortnite Sniper Shootout Changes.

Fortnite Sniper Shootout Changes: What’s New

The first major change in the latest version of the Fortnite Sniper Shootout is the removal of the Fortnite Scoped Assault Rifle. In its place, Epic Games has added a brand new weapon, the Fortnite Heavy Sniper Rifle. The Heavy Sniper is devastatingly powerful to players and buildings alike, dishing out 150/157 to the former and a whopping 1050/1100 to the latter. However, to avoid it from becoming overpowered, the high damage output is countered by long reload times  compared to other Sniper Rifles in the game.

Fortnite Sniper Shootout Changes: Mode Details

The only weapon drops in Fortnite Sniper Shootout are Sniper Rifles, so don’t expect to see any Rocket Launchers appearing in this LTM. Floor Loot spawns have been reduced in by 50 percent, so players will need to conserve anything they find, especially ammo. Additionally, profile stats like K/D and Wins are tracked in the Fortnite Sniper Shootout.

Besides the Heavy Sniper, other usable Sniper Rifles include the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, and the Hunting Rifle. However, the Heavy Sniper deals the highest amount of damage, which makes it the most highly-prized weapon in the LTM.

The Fortnite Sniper Shootout LTM is only one of many highlights in Fortnite Patch 5.21, which went live earlier today. Check out our guide here for more details and information, where we listed down all the highlights from the latest patch to hit the battle royale game.
