Assassin's Creed Odyssey - The Blind King Mission Bug

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – The Blind King Mission Bug

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out now and it’s a lot of fun, but as a huge open-world game, perhaps unsurprisingly, it still has a few issues. PC owners have experienced some framerate problems and even crashing if they’ve got the wrong CPU, but there are bugs which affect all platforms too. One of the big game-breaking bugs reported is the The Blind King mission bug. But what is the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey The Blind King bug and how do you either avoid or fix it? We’ll show you.

What is The Blind King Mission Bug?

The Blind King is a mission you get if you pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The mission itself is rather humorously called “Prince of Persia,” obviously as a reference to the Ubisoft series of platformers that were pretty much killed off by the Assassin’s Creed series itself. It takes place later in the story, after the story mission “The Big Break,” and is a Level 15 quest. The blind man you have to talk to is located in the Valley of King Lelex on Megaris.

The bug comes with the final part of the mission, where you are given the location of Themistokles’s treasure, located on the Isle of Salamis in Ajax’s Temple. However, if you’ve been to the temple and looted the treasure before getting the final part of the quest (“Find Themistokles’s treasure”) then you will not be able to complete the mission or get the reward.

How to Avoid the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey The Blind King bug

As of now, there is no fix for The Blind King mission bug. That’s the bad news. Hopefully Ubisoft is working on a fix, especially as it’s a pre-order bonus mission. Until then, however, the only way to avoid the bug is not to open the treasure chest in Ajax’s Temple in the first place. If you happen to go there before completing The Blind King mission line, just don’t open any chests, you may regret it later.
