Anthem PC System Requirements – Can I Run It?

With the alpha on the way in December, you’re probably already eyeing the Anthem PC system requirements so you know whether your PC can run Anthem or whether you need a few slapdash upgrades. Below, we’ve listed the Anthem PC minimum specs as well as the recommended specs so you’ll have a fair idea about whether your rig can run the preview of BioWare’s action RPG.

Anthem PC System Requirements – Minimum Specs

Unlike the recommended specs below, this rundown of the minimum Anthem specs on PC come from System Requirements Lab, so take these with a pinch of salt.

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350
  • RAM: 8 GB System Memory
  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 760, AMD Radeon 7970 / R9280X
  • GPU RAM: 2 GB Video Memory
  • HARD DRIVE: At least 50 GB of free space
  • DIRECTX: DirectX 11

All in all, this reads like a fairly memory-intensive game, so you’ll need to ensure that, even on the minimum settings, you have upgraded your RAM, as well as grabbed some of the latest gear, especially an i5 processor, if you want the game to run at even a passable rate. These specs are highly unlikely to shock anyone, though, who hasn’t kept half-an-eye on their PC setup over the last 18 months or so. It’s also not going to be the most strenuous title for your system. Be forewarned, however, that this is a multiplayer game so performance may be all over the place.

Anthem PC System Requirements – Recommended Specs

This one comes straight from the horse’s mouth, as EA has attached it to a recent email inviting players to the alpha:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5 GHz
  • RAM: 16 GB System Memory
  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060/RTX 2060, AMD RX 480
  • GPU RAM: 4 GB Video Memory
  • HARD DRIVE: At least 50 GB of free space
  • DIRECTX: DirectX 11

Again, nothing to shock the senses. Both of those video cards are relatively cheap, plus we now have an inkling of just how big Anthem is going to be, taking up more than 60 GB on your hard drive, so make some space if you need to.
