Although the game rolls to credits after 20 missions, there is also a Devil May Cry 5 secret ending. It may be obvious, but there is indeed a way to end the game early and doing so will get you an achievement or trophy. But figuring out how to get the Devil May Cry 5 secret ending can be tough. And it can be even tougher to figure out if you can beat the first boss in Devil May Cry 5. Regardless, here’s how to find that secret ending.
Devil May Cry 5 Secret Ending | Can you beat the first boss?
There is secret ending in Devil May Cry 5. To get to this finale, you’ll need to play the prologue again and beat Urizen, that big demon sitting in the giant throne at the end of the level. Killing the first boss may seem impossible because the game plays a cutscene when you die, which makes you expect that you were supposed to lose.
However, eagle-eyed players will notice that the crystal does indeed lose health as you hack away at it. Damaging the crystal enough will cause his shield to fall, which is where you can damage the actual boss. You’ll probably be able to chop off around half of his health before the crystal comes back if you are nimble enough.
But this is pretty difficult as his attacks do a ton of damage and you’ll die in just a few hits. It is highly recommended that you beat the game and then come back and replay the level on normal difficulty. You’ll know his patterns this way and have more health. If you are good enough to beat Urizen in the early stages of the game, you’ll be able prematurely end the game.
One good method is to have all (or some) the charged pistol attacks and continually charge up shots and shoot from a distance. It may take some time but its less dangerous than attacking with your sword.
Devil May Cry 5 Secret Ending | Well I’ll Be Damned trophy/achievement
Killing Urizen at the beginning will net players the Well I’ll Be Damned trophy or achievement, depending on their system. This is a tricky one because the description is vague and it isn’t clear that you can even beat Urizen until the actual boss fight.
