Life is Strange 2 Fallen Tree | How to move the trunk

During the Life is Strange 2 episode 3 detour to the beach involving Sean and Daniel, a fallen tree gets in your way and blocks your path. Of course, that’s not good, and many are finding it difficult to move the trunk in Life is Strange 2 to continue on with the story. If you’re one of those people, you’ll need our easy-to-follow guide in how to move the fallen tree. It’ll require some button combinations, and Daniel’s powers, but it’s not too difficult to pull off once you know what you’re doing.

Why can’t I move the trunk in Life is Strange 2?

Simply put, the game doesn’t really tell you what to do in terms of button prompts. It’s clear that there’s nowhere to go once you get to the beach but forward, but the trunk in your way can only ever be interacted with via the “Look” command.

It’s worth pointing out that you’ve done nothing wrong: You don’t need to find a specific item, nor should you reload your save because you can’t move forward. As you’ll soon find out, all that’s needed from you is a quick button press and you’ll be soundly on your way.

As Sean, move up to the fallen tree. Instead of interacting with it like normal, you’re going to need to hold down the action button to prompt Daniel to move the tree. On PC, that’s E; Xbox One is LT; PS4 is L2.

Keep that button held down and press the interact button. LMB on PC, B on Xbox One, and Circle on PS4. Doing so will call your baby brother Daniel over. From there, he’ll do the rest, utilizing his kooky powers to lift up the tree trunk. A short cutscene will play and you’ll leave your current area and move to the next one.
