Rocket League Free Weekend

The Rocket League free weekend is less of a weekend and more of a week, as the event will be running for six days. Starting today, July 10, Xbox One and Steam users will be able to play Rocket League for free until July 15 at 10 AM PDT/5 PM UTC. This isn’t just limited access either; Psyonix is opening the flood gates, allowing players access to the full game. However, it is important to keep in mind that if you’re playing on Xbox, you’ll need an active Xbox Live Gold subscription.

One thing that players might want to try out is the new Radical Summer event. This is an event that is focused on celebrating ’80s summer culture. There will be tons of in-game items that pay homage to ’80s culture, like Pixelated Wheels. You won’t want to miss out on this event, you can read more about the Radical Summer event right here.

You might be wondering, why is there a free weekend in the first place. Well, it’s in celebration of Rocket League’s 4th birthday. Rocket League released on July 7, 2015, meaning it turned four just a couple of days ago. What better way to celebrate than giving back to the community who gave it its success in the first place. If you’ve been on the fence about Rocket League for the past four years, it’s time to finally pull the plug and put the pedal to the metal.
