If you’re playing on PC it’s possible that Epic Games’ soft Fortnite reset might have reverted and/or changed a few of your game settings. One such setting is windowed mode, which appears to have been enabled for select players. Fortunately, this is very easily fixed by paying a visit to the in-game settings menu and enabling fullscreen mode to have your game once again display correctly. Here’s the exact process:

  • From the Fortnite main menu, open the “Settings” screen
  • Navigate to the “Video” tab
  • Locate the “Window Mode” option
  • Switch from “Windowed” to “Fullscreen” by clicking the right arrow
