Borderlands 3 SpongeBob Gun | Krakatoa weapon location

While there are seemingly endless numbers of guns to choose from in Borderlands 3, sometimes the weapon to choose is made easier by the fact that it is referencing something. Believe it or not, there is a Borderlands 3 SpongeBob Gun. Hilariously, it’s referencing something that perhaps not too many people will remember from SpongeBob SquarePants. In this guide, we’ll let you in on the Krakatoa weapon location, what its stats are like, and what it actually has to do with everyone’s favorite sea sponge.

What is the Borderlands 3 SpongeBob Gun?

As stated above, there are plenty of guns that are making reference to many different things in Borderlands 3. One such weapon is the SpongeBob Gun. Unfortunately, the gun isn’t absorbant, nor is it yellow, and no, it doesn’t shoot Krabby Patties. Instead, the SpongeBob Gun is called the Krakatoa. This refers to Captain Magma, of course, as seen in SpongeBob SquarePants episode 52b, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V. Get him angry and he’s bound to erupt.

The Borderlands 3 Krakatoa is an incendiary Legendary Sniper Rifle. It shoots a charged yellow beam at enemies, spawning a miniature volcano upon killing any enemy that shoots out the odd fireball. It’s a powerful weapon, but one that’s perhaps best not to use on enemies with a lot of shield health.

Unfortunately, getting your hands on the Krakatoa might prove difficult. There is no guaranteed way of finding the Borderlands 3 SpongeBob gun. Sadly, there is no Krakatoa weapon location. The only way to get hold of the SpongeBob gun is random, through any kind of loot source that would drop Legendary weapons.

Of course, you could always trade for one of these sought-after guns. Just be prepared to offer something good in return. Hopefully, though, the developers add in the Orb of Confusion, too. The lack of it is… confusing.
