Fortnite 2.51 Update Patch Notes (11.31.1)

The Fortnite 2.51 update patch notes (11.31.1) have now been detailed. This new Fortnite patch is now rolling out across PCPS4, Xbox OneNintendo SwitchiPhone, and Android. Downtime is not required for this update, though users will need to install the 365.4 MB (measured on PS4) to continue to enjoy the game’s online features. Following the big 11.30 update which introduced the Winterfest event, players are no doubt wondering what this new Fortnite update does. Read on for the full details.

It’s best not to get too excited over this new Fortnite update, as its surprise deployment usually indicates some minor changes to the game that tackle stability.

Like previous XX.XX.1 updates, this 11.31.1 patch has one purpose: “To address stability and other issues.”

As for what these “other issues” are, it hasn’t yet been made clear. Neither the @FortniteStatus Twitter account or Community Trello have listed the changes.

Over on PS4, once the update has been installed and the user checks the “Update History,” the following information can be found:

Not exactly dripping in detail, either! But at least it confirms that the update is intended to help improve Fortnite through stability fixes. Users can therefore expect an overall smoother experience with fewer performance hiccups and/or crashes.
