Death Stranding 1.12 | Photo Mode Update

The new Photo Mode in Death Stranding is by far the biggest draw to update version 1.12. As its name implies, this is a new feature that allows players to take customized in-game screenshots. Several different options are available for poses, exposure, lenses, and even facial expressions.

Aside from that, not too much else has changed in the latest patch. Update 1.12 weighs in at about 1.1GB for the entire download, but it doesn’t seem to any include any specific bug fixes. As usual, Kojima Productions has only provided brief details mentioning performance improvements. Either way, here are the full patch notes for Death Stranding update 1.12:

  • Various performance improvements
  • Addition of Photo Mode

For those who haven’t heard the buzz, Photo Mode is a popular feature that’s appeared in several high-profile games through the years. It makes sense: The better games look, the more players will want to take photographs of their journeys. Being able to choose the location, position, and expression of the hero is just an added bonus. And as you can see from the images featured here, it’s plenty of fun to play with in Death Stranding.

Death Stranding update version 1.12 is available to download now on PlayStation 4. It has the usual set of performance improvements, but Photo Mode is the reason you’ll want to grab it. Set a bit of time aside for the download now, so you can start taking your own custom screenshots as soon as possible.
