After what seems like ages already, Season 4 is set to end with episode 25, the 88th episode of the anime so far. When, though, is the My Hero Academia Season 5 release date? In this guide, we’ll let you in on when you can expect the My Hero Academia episode 89 premiere date. Read on to discover when the My Hero Academia Season 5 episode 1 release date should be.
When is the My Hero Academia Season 5 release date?
Based on what we know so far, the My Hero Academia Season 5 release date should, hopefully, be October 2021. While we know that Season 5 is in the works already, no release date has been given as of writing.
As Season 4 began in October 2019 and looks to be ending on April 4, 2020, it will be a good few months, at least, before Season 5 begins. This means that you can expect the My Hero Academia Season 5 release date to fall somewhere between July 2021-December 2021, likely October or November, around a year after episode one of Season 4 Premiered. Without an official release date, though, this is pure guess-work.
Thanks to the unofficial Weekly Shonen Jump Twitter account, we know that Season 5 of My Hero Academia has been confirmed. We’ve embedded the tweet below, which contains an image of the announcement within the manga magazine:

Unfortunately, the announcement of Season 5 didn’t come with a release date. All we know is that Season 5 of My Hero Academia is on the way. At some point in the future, the next season of this long-running anime series will premiere. As stated above, we’d like to think that Season 5 will air on Crunchyroll and/or Funimation at some point between July 2021-December 2021. We’re tentatively giving this one an October/November 2021 release for now.
Of course, we’ll update this guide with the correct information when it becomes available. For now, you’ve got some time to catch up if you haven’t already done so.
