Fortnite 2.72 Update Patch Notes | May 26 Today

The Fortnite 2.72 update patch notes (12.61) are here, with the new patch currently rolling out across PC, PS4Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android platforms today, May 26. As you probably would expect, the new Fortnite update needs a maintenance period, which is scheduled to start at 2 AM ET (6 AM UTC). This normally lasts around 1-2 hours, so get comfortable! Once those servers are back up, you’ll be able to dive into the game to check out the new changes.

If you don’t see the Fortnite 2.72 update begin to download and install automatically, you can force it using your system’s “Check for update” function on console, phone, or PC to search for any new patches. This should force the download process to begin, bringing you closer to checking out the latest changes.

New Challenges arrive this week for XP and the chance to earn a new Wrap, Pickaxe, and Glider. You can also gift a free loading screen to a friend.
