We’d argue that you should plump for Breach as your first Valorant character unlock. This is based on the fact that we feel Breach is an easy Agent to get the hang of, better for beginners. Of course, the character you unlock first in Valorant is entirely up to you. You’ll be able to unlock a new Agent once you reach level 5, and then another when you reach level 10. We’d suggest that Breach is the one you should go for.

You’ll want to make sure you choose a nice all-rounder of an Agent as your first character unlock in Valorant. Breach should be that choice. Breach is an Initiator Agent with damage-focused abilities. Unlike Sova, the Initiator Agent you begin with, Breach is capable of more-easily disrupting your opposing team. As a choice for dealing as much damage as you can and disrupting the other team, Breach is a good shout. If you don’t like Breach, at least you will unlock another Agent soon after.

Other Agents are worth a look as your first unlock, too, such as Cypher, but Breach is probably the easiest to get the hang of, generally speaking. Ultimately, however, the choice is yours. Again, you get two free unlocks, one at level 5, and another at level 10. Read on below for a list of the unlockable Agents in Valorant.
