Mario Kart Live different racers

Mario Kart Live | How to play as different characters

How do you play as different characters in Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit? While he’s in the game name, not everyone wants to play as Mario every time. Fortunately, there is a way to play as different racers in the game, but it will cost more than a pretty penny. So what Mario Kart playable racers are there? While it’s possible to play as other characters, players will need to fork over a lot of their hard-earned cash.

How to play as different racers in Mario Kart Live

Mario Kart Live different racers

Mario Kart Live different racers allow players to pick and choose which character they play as, and they have Mario and/or Luigi sliding around their living room floor. As stated above, however, playing as different characters will cost additional money.

To play as different racers in Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, players need to buy their Kart Sets. As of writing, just two Kart Sets are available for purchase: Mario and Luigi. It’s currently unclear if more will be added in the future, but it would not be a surprise to see Princess Peach, Bowser, Wario, and others released further down the line. It all depends on how well the game performs, we’d wager. To play multiplayer each player will need to own their own kart set.

The issue is, each Kart Set costs $99.99 (£99.99 in the U.K.), which is relatively expensive. It is a clever bit of kit, but each new character someone wants to play as is another $100 investment. Once a racer has been picked, it’s time to begin setting up the track (the game does work on carpets). Remember that it shouldn’t be played outdoors, though.

Mario Kart Live different racers are available to play as, but each different character will, for now, cost the player around $100. Given the physical nature of the game, it’s a small (big) price to pay. If the game isn’t working, it’s time to fix that poor connection error.
