To play Outriders early, users need to be Square Enix Ambassadors or in a timezone where the game has already launched. Many players are changing timezones, for example to New Zealand time, in order to get Outriders early access.

Some platform holders forbid region switching, however, so only do so if aware of the potential risk. The Outriders launch time is April 1 at 12 a.m. local time. Although perhaps not ideal, the most sensible option is to wait and play the game legitimately.

In the meantime, there’s a free Outriders demo available to download on all platforms. Since trial progress carries over to the final game, playing the opening stages in this manner is essentially a form of early access. There’s several hours’ worth of content included, which will easily pass the time until Outriders preloads unlock for all players.

Studying this list of classes and skills while waiting could help to establish an upgrade path. There are lots of unique abilities to unlock and utilize on the road to reaching Outriders’ maximum level cap.

Bookmarking these guides on preventing stutter and lag plus crashing and freezing is also a good idea. While Square Enix and People Can Fly’s new looter shooter is mostly stable, there can be technical pitfalls at times. Having these resources handy will make getting back to a smooth gameplay experience much faster.

Outriders is launching April 1 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. What about a Nintendo Switch version, though?
