Fortnite: How to get alien off head

With the introduction of alien head parasites in Season 7, many players are wondering how to get alien off head in Fortnite, as it’s an extremely annoying occurrence. Players should know how to get rid of an alien parasite in Fortnite because the little critters sap player health, plus it looks extremely weird. Here’s how to get a Fortnite alien off your head in the game with as little effort and as much fire as possible.

A Fortnite alien parasite can be removed from the player’s head in four easy ways, although some are more perilous than others:

  • Jump in a body of water. This is the easiest and safest way to remove an alien, assuming there is some around.
  • Enter an interactive prop, such as Port-a-potties or a dumpster. Again, this assumes there is a prop around.
  • Burn it off, perhaps by walking through a  campfire.
  • Get another player to shoot it off, although this will leave the player low on health or dead, so this is the least favorable option.

Other than looking goofy, the biggest problem with having an alien parasite attached is that it immediately begins draining the player’s health down to 60 HP, which isn’t ideal. However, as a bonus, it makes the player immune to headshot damage and be able to move faster and jump higher, so there are benefits to keeping one on for a while.

Fortnite is currently in the middle of its big Chapter 2 Season 7 alien invasion right now, which will eventually give players the chance to play as the ultimate alien immigrant Superman when he becomes available in a few weeks. Rick and Morty’s Rick Sanchez is available now, who probably hates the whole idea of alien parasites. Sadly, Pickle Rick is unfortunately not available in Fortnite.
