The New World closed beta is proving very popular, but it’s only available on PC. Will the full MMORPG also launch on popular console platforms? Here’s the latest on a New World Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch version release date.
Is there a New World Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One release date?
The New World release date is August 31, 2021. This only relates to the PC version, however, as there are no plans for New World Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions.
Amazon isn’t planning to release a New World Xbox port, as confirmed by the official New World Twitter account (@playnewworld).
While we understand many players would like to play the game on console, New World will only be available on PC.

Is there a New World PS5 and PS4 release date?
Amazon Game Studios’ MMO, New World, is exclusive to the PC platform. It’s launching there on August 31, but there is no New World PS5 and PS4 release date to follow.
In response to a question regarding New World console ports, the game’s official Twitter account replied: “While we understand many players would like to play the game on console, New World will only be available on PC.” Unfortunately, this makes it clear that there are no current plans for a New World PlayStation release.
Is there a New World Nintendo Switch release date?
New World isn’t coming to Nintendo Switch. While there’s no New World Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite port to look forward to, the MMO is hitting PC on August 31, 2021.
While a New World Switch version wouldn’t be able to run natively, a New World: Cloud Version could work. Despite this, the developers state that the brand-new MMORPG “will only be available on PC.”
