Animal Crossing New Horizons July 2021 update patch notes

The final July 2021 update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons is small, mainly offering a timely refresh to store items and events. The big draw to note in this patch is the return of the Fireworks Show event, which will run throughout August.

So far, the official patch notes for New Horizons update version 1.11 have not been released. However, the team at Nintendo has begun teasing the event over on Twitter, offering players a quick look at upcoming seasonal items.

Last year’s Fireworks Show event saw in-game displays of fireworks once a week for five weeks straight. If the same schedule is followed this coming August, a fireworks show will take place each Sunday evening around sunset. Given the five weeks in August, that should give players five separate chances to catch the show.

Of course, the update will also introduce new seasonal Nook Shopping items. Of what we’ve heard so far, players can expect the Eggplant Cow and Cucumber Horse to become available soon. They arrive in a few weeks as part of the Japanese Bon Festival. The Japanese Moon-Viewing festival will see new items added come September as well.

July 2021’s final Animal Crossing: New Horizons update version 1.11 is not a big patch. However, it does herald the next Fireworks Show event. Players can tune in to the show each week throughout the month of August. Otherwise, players should note new season Nook Shopping items arriving in the coming weeks.
