Daryl has a dog in The Walking Dead on AMC that has somehow managed to survive two seasons. However, fans are wondering if Dog will die in TWD Season 11. After all, if there’s an animal in any sort of horror media, it almost always has to die to elicit some cheap feelings from the audience. We’ll keep this post updated so fans can prepare themselves for the poor dog to get hurt or to die.
Does the dog die in The Walking Dead Season 11?
Dog hasn’t died in The Walking Dead Season 11 as of the end of episode 4. So far, he’s fared better than a lot of the human members of Maggie’s entourage and hasn’t been injured or hurt in any way.
So far, Dog has made it through the subway, narrowly avoiding a herd of walkers attacking the party and leading Daryl through an alternate route. In fact, Dog is the big hero of the season so far since he inadvertently saved the whole group by guiding Daryl to a location where he could ambush the walkers threatening the rest of the group in the subway train.
Dog escaped the subway with the group’s surviving members and was with them as they continued making their way toward Meridian. However, his chances of dying have increased significantly since the Reapers attacked the party at the conclusion of episode 2. He runs after a Reaper during the fight and is eventually found by Leah, Unfortunately, Leah is revealed to be a part of the Reapers, and she takes Dog (and Daryl) back to their camp with her. He hasn’t been harmed yet, but the gang is violent and unpredictable.
Hopefully, the dog won’t die in The Walking Dead Season 11, but we wouldn’t bet high on his chances of making it. Horror series are notorious for killing off animals, and TWD is no exception. In season 8, Ezekial’s tiger, Shiva, was killed by zombies.
There are still 22 episodes to go in The Walking Dead Season 11 and the series finale. If Dog makes it, he’ll be one of the few animals to survive a horror story, and we’re rooting for him.
