Gundam Evolution Mouse Acceleration Fix: How To Turn It Off

Gundam Evolution launched on September 21 on PC, and some players are struggling to get to grips with mouse acceleration being turned on by default. There is the ability to turn it off, but this isn’t incredibly easy to find as it isn’t part of the advanced mouse settings, so here’s our guide telling you exactly how to turn off mouse acceleration in Gundam Evolution.

Players will need to search for and edit the game files to be able to turn off mouse acceleration in Gundam Evolution. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to turn off mouse acceleration and make sure the changes do not disappear every time you open the game:

  1. Go to C:Users*yourusername*AppDataLocalEvoGameSavedConfigWindowsNoEditor
  2. Find and open the input.ini notepad file
  3. Add the following text to the empty file: Gundam Evolution Mouse Acceleration
  4. Save the changes and close the file.
  5. Right-click on the input.ini file and select Properties from the pop-up menu
  6. In the Attributes section, tick the Read-Only box and hit the Apply button

If you’re still having problems with mouse sensitivity and acceleration, the other thing players can do is to turn off mouse acceleration in Windows itself. The method for doing this is very slightly different between Windows 10 and Windows 11:

Windows 10

  1. Open Settings and click on Bluetooth & Devices
  2. Select Mouse from the Devices list
  3. Click on the Additional Mouse Options button
  4. Go to the Pointer Options tab
  5. Make sure the Enhance Pointer Precision box is unticked

Windows 11

  1. Open Settings and click on Bluetooth & Devices
  2. Select Mouse from the Devices list
  3. Click on Additional Mouse Settings in the list
  4. Go to the Pointer Options tab
  5. Make sure the Enhance Pointer Precision box is unticked

If mouse acceleration and movement still prove to be a problem after this, players are asked to check whether a bug report has already been submitted to the bug information list. If there is no similar bug listed, players can use the Contact page to submit a bug report with the following information:

  • Player name
  • Detailed circumstances for triggering said issue
  • Error code (if shown)
