Diablo 4 Helltide Timer Schedule Event Start Reset

Diablo 4 Helltide Timer Schedule: When Do Helltide Events Start & Reset?

A Diablo 4 Helltide timer is an important tool in knowing when Helltide events start. This is because the Helltide schedule isn’t the same every day, so the list of the exact times that a Helltide will occur in Sanctuary would be far too long to be of any real use. This is somewhat frustrating of course, but nonetheless, this reoccurring event is great for high-level players to search for powerful Sacred-level items in the special Helltide mystery chests that spawn. Here is how often Helltide events happen in Diablo 4.

What is the Diablo 4 Helltide schedule?

The Diablo 4 Helltide schedule begins with a Helltide event that lasts for one hour and has a waiting period of 75 minutes (or 1 hour and 15 minutes) before starting again.

Several fans have created simple websites that have a Diablo 4 Helltide timer (like this one and another one). These will be helpful in making sure you can get started on a Helltide event as soon as they appear.

This effectively means that there are about 11 or 12 Diablo 4 Helltide events that occur throughout any given day. We thought about writing a list of times for when they reset, but by the way the math works out, the schedule actually loops every eight days. That would not be very helpful for anyone.

Diablo 4 Helltide events unlock at World Tier 3 difficulty, meaning that you need to complete the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon on World Tier 2 first. During every Helltide, a region of the map becomes corrupted and completing events in that area will earn you Aberrant Cinders. These then are used to unlock Tortured Gift chests where you get some of the best endgame gear, like Sacred and Unique items as well as Forgotten Souls that are required to unlock the best healing potions at the apothecary.

Once the event ends, though, all your Aberrant Cinders are destroyed. This is why a Helltide timer is so useful. That said, you can also find endgame gear by farming dungeons on World Tier 3 or 4, so that’s also an option if you don’t really care for Helltide events.
