Diablo 4 Season 1 Dungeon Bug

Diablo 4 Season 1 Dungeon Bug: How to Fix Infinite Loading Screen Glitch

A pervasive Diablo 4 Season 1 dungeon bug is preventing players from entering the first dungeon of the season. An infinite loading screen, or at least a very long one, is keeping players stuck and unable to progress through the seasonal storyline. This issue also reportedly extends to standard dungeons and cellars. There’s also a problem with invisible walls surrounding seasonal areas that could be related. Here’s what you can do to fix the long loading screen at the root of the dungeon bug for Season 1.

How to fix Diablo 4 Season 1 dungeon bug

Here are some solutions you can try to solve the Diablo 4 Season 1 dungeon bug with long loading screens:

  • Wait for the loading screen to finish – Worse case scenario, you’ll be spit out of the dungeon after five or so minutes. If you force quit the game, you may need to re-enter the long queue.
  • Disable crossplay – Some users report that turning off crossplay may help with getting the first seasonal dungeon to trigger correctly
  • Wait a few hours before trying again – We hope that this issue is related to all the servers going active during the launch of Season 1. Once everything becomes stable, the loading screens shouldn’t be as much of a problem.

At the moment, this loading screen bug is impacting all players in all regions and on all platforms. This includes PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

As noted above, we suspect that this issue may be due to server load or a launch day issues, so it could resolve itself over the next day. As far as we have searched, Blizzard has not yet addressed this dungeon bug. At the time of this writing, Blizzard has noted long queue times but hasn’t said anything about long loading times. Players using The Oculus wand are also finding themselves underneath the ground.
