How to get Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty new ending

The Cyberpunk 2077 new ending from the Phantom Liberty DLC requires that you take the following steps:

  1. Help Songbird escape – Once you finish the second act of the expansion, you’ll be given a choice to side with Reed or assist Songbird in fleeing the facility. Pick the second option and continue forward.
  2. Wait several in-game days and complete The Killing Moon mission – After you help her, it will take several days and nights before Songbird feels comfortable enough to contact you again. She’ll need your help once again, this time to get through the spaceport.
  3. Choose to give Songbird up and take cure – Songbird reveals that the cure will only work for one person. At the end of the Killing Moon mission, you have to give her back to Reed and choose the cure for yourself.
  4. Wait again for Reed to contact you – The Through Pain to Heaven quest will eventually appear where Reed calls you and offers the cure. Accept this, despite Johnny Silverhand’s objections. This triggers the Who Wants to Live Forever quest (this might be called something else if you choose a different ending to Phantom Liberty) and you’ll start the sequence to the new ending.
