Rainbow Six Siege Is Coming October 13th, New Trailer Released

As we head to the end of Spring, publishers are beginning to announce firm release dates for their end of year game titles. In some cases, games are even being delayed, such as in the unfortunate case of Tom Clancy's The Division. Although one Tom Clancy game is being pushed to 2016, another is ready to pick up the slack.

Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege will debut on October 13th. This places it just two weeks before the arrival of Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Halo 5: Guardians, making October an even stronger month.

As described in our Closed Alpha Preview, Rainbow Six Siege has the potential to be a great tactical shooter. Akin to Counter-Strike, it has a heavy emphasis on teamwork, something that is rare in today's gaming climate. As someone who enjoys games of its nature, I am excited to see what it can do for this year's video game line-up.

A trailer has been released alongside the announcement which you can view above. It doesn't have anything in the way of gameplay footage, but gives you an idea of what Ubisoft is aiming for with this particular game.
