Gilbert Gottfried Claims Lead Role in GTAV

What a week it has been for Gilbert Gottfried! The comedian had a surprise appearance on The Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump where he played interpreter for Academy Award-winning deaf actress, Marlee Matlin, and an insensitive tweet about the disaster in Japan got him fired as Aflac's spokesperson. But as that job comes to a close, Gottfried claims to have landed another – one that also confirms the existence of Grand Theft Auto V.

Late last night, Gottfried tweeted:

just found out I'm voicing the lead in grand theft auto 5! also I hate japan lol.

The tweet was taken down shortly after, but not before the folks over at TheNobleEskimo were able to catch it, who then contacted Rockstar North with their findings. Rockstar North, who is said to be developing GTAV, replied playfully by sending them over a picture of the 1990 movie poster for Problem Child, a movie that Gilbert Gottfried starred in.

This isn't at all a confirmation, especially because Gottfried is batshit insane and says a lot of things for "shock value". Though, this seems oddly specific not to be true. The only other thing that keeps me from believing this, is that I don't know if I could sit through hours of Gilbert Gottfried's dialog – even if it is for GTAV.
