SNK Playmore To Debut New Neo Geo Pocket

SNK Playmore must have heard that Sony was using "NGP" as the name of their portable for a while there, and they decided to throw down, old-school style.

In a move that will surely make Kevin Schaller explode with joy, SNK Playmore is to announce a new Neo Geo portable, dubbed the Neo Geo Keitai. Our very own Heath Hindman told me that 'Keitei' could be referring to a cell phone, but since SNK has yet to officially announce the device, it's not yet clear if there are any cell phone-like capabilities, or if it's referring to the size, shape, and appearance of the device.

The Neo Geo Keitei looks a lot like a sideways iPhone, with a circle pad and face buttons. But despite its small size, this bad boy plays big games, and will come pre-loaded with 20 Neo Geo classic titles. It'll also play such classics like Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, King of the Fighters, and Samuari Showdown.
