Homefront Tops 1 Million Units Sold Through

THQ's near-future first-person-shooter has received mixed reviews. With the business end of video games so focused on that goddam Metacritic score, THQ's stock took a noticeable dip.

While THQ's stock hasn't seen much activity since then, Homefront scored 375,000 in units sold through on the first day, topped the UK sales charts in its first week, and shipped 2.4 Million units to retail stores. Wat?

I thought Metacritic was God and we should all bow down to their aggregated, weighted, unknown formula. Read the text people!

Anyways, you can see what's up with Homefront for yourself by winning Plug-Bot-5000's Haiku Fridays contest for it. Why he would watch such gory, violent, and abhorrent Battlebots footage is beyond me.
