Sony Will Attend GDC 2018 With PlayStation Game Kiosks and Talks

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and PlayStation will once again grace their presence at the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC). The GDC is the largest annual gathering of professional video game developers, with focus on learning, inspiration, and networking. Sony Interactive Entertainment representative Ron Laserna reveals the details of their GDC activities via PlayStation Blog. First of all, there will be many game kiosks showcasing a variety of PlayStation’s PS4 and PS4 Pro titles. These include games like Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, Monster Hunter WorldGran Turismo SportShadow Of The ColossusDonut County, The Swords of Ditto, and Guacamelee! 2, as well as PSVR titles like Moss and Bravo Team.

There will be tech kiosks featuring PlayStation HDR Development and PlayStation Developer Tools – SN Systems. The “Ask Developer Relations @GDC” station will also be returning at this year’s GDC, where the Third Party Developer Relations team will answer any questions about working with PlayStation, licensing and more. Additionally, other PlayStation-related sessions and roundtables will be held at GDC 2018. A few confirmed topics include “The Magic Behind ‘Joshua Bell VR’: Immersive Video with Positional Tracking”, which will reveal how a PlayStation VR-related problem was solved,” and “Player Engagement in VR Cinematics,” which discusses on how to strike a balance between player engagement and cinematic cut-scenes. They will be providing a golden opportunity for anyone to schedule a one-on-one private meeting with them to discuss potential job openings available at SIE.
