Drake Says He’ll Rap About Fortnite if Hotline Bling Emote Is Made

The dastardly duo of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Drake teamed up once again last night, and while they didn’t break any records (this time), they did talk about something that left many fans of both Fortnite and Drake gossiping on social media. That something is Drake’s upcoming album, and whether the rapper will be including any “Fortnite lingo” to give a shout out to Epic’s popular Battle Royale game.

The subject came up from Ninja, who seemed to mostly joke about the inclusion of Fortnite in Drake’s latest album, but the rapper seemed as though he was genuinely interested in doing so. The clip has been uploaded more than enough times, but feel free to check it out for yourselves.

Ninja is the one who brought Drake potentially rapping Fortnite lyrics up first during his stream. “Dude, you gotta put some Fortnite lingo on the album,” he says with a laugh. It at first feels as though it’s just banter between the two, but then Drake’s response is enough to make anyone seriously wonder if Epic will consider the rapper’s words. He responds, “someone’s gonna do it. Someone’s gonna pull it off. I say when Epic gives me the emote, when Epic gives me the Hotline Bling emote, I’ll do it. Until then, I’m on strike.”

If you’re not aware what the Hotline Bling emote is then we’ll sum it up in a few words: awkward Drake dancing. But hey, Fortnite wouldn’t be Fortnite without awkward dancing so we feel as though the emote would be right at home. Besides, Epic is currently hosting a competition where players can send in their own dance moves in the hope it’ll be made into an emote. Technically all Drake would need to do is link Epic to his video to enter, right? It’s still possible! However, only time will tell if Epic will agree to Drake’s suggestions or whether it’ll give the awkward dancing a miss… For now.
