Want to catch up before Kingdom Hearts 3? Square Enix have got you covered. There’s a complete Kingdom Hearts package on the way, as announced at the E3 2018 Sony conference, collecting Kingdom Hearts 3, 1.5 Remix, 2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts 2.8. That’s a lot of Disney right there.
Coming on January 29, the Kingdom Hearts Collection is coming to PS4 with every single game from the PS3/PS4 remasters. By my count, that’s 6 main playable games, plus three cutscene-heavy outings that pad out the game’s lore nicely. It’s a must for newcomers and Kingdom Hearts experts alike.
It also comes with a swanky Limited Edition PS4 Pro that’s sure to catch the eye of Kingdom Hearts fans everywhere.
Kingdom Hearts 3 has already shown to be heading to the universes of Tangled, Toy Story, Frozen and, as revealed latterly at E3 2018, Pirates of the Caribbean.
Without going into spoiler territory, you’re going to need to play this Kingdom Hearts complete package before you even contemplate getting a start on Kingdom Hearts 3. If you’re completely new to the series, it’s a big, incredible, amazing crossover between Final Fantasy and Disney characters, with a smattering of original characters.
The 1.5 and 2.5 Kingdom Hearts Remixes were originally released on PS3, before being ported to PS4 alongside a new 2.8 release (stick with me here). The Kingdom Hearts 3 complete package is set to launch on January 29. Nice and simple, right?
There was also a new Kingdom Hearts 3 story trailer announced at E3 2018, featuring several new story beats. The long, long wait to January 29 begins now. Are you ready?
