Star Wars: The Old Republic Reportedly Going Free-To-Play Starting Next Week

We've known that BioWare's MMO would be going free-to-play in the near future, but until now, we weren't sure exactly when the changes would be in effect. According to a recent report, it appears that starting next week across all territories, Star Wars: The Old Republic will officially be going free-to-play.

If you haven't been keeping up to date on the game's F2P option, those who opt out of paying the monthly fee will have some obvious restrictions; however, the ability to level up a character to 50 and experience all of the different class storylines will be available.

The news of next week's launch was first spotted in an interview on German gaming site Gamona, but has since been removed. As such, stay tuned to GameRevolution for more info.
