You can now play Metal Gear Solid 4 on PS4 thanks to PlayStation Now’s March 2019 additions

No, that’s not a typo. You can now play Metal Gear Solid 4 on PS4. PlayStation Now’s March 2019 games have been announced and at the very top of the list comes the flawed masterpiece that is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Let’s just hope you’ve got a steady internet connection. Imagine disconnecting through a 40-minute cutscene.

In news that’ll make you go la-li-lu-le-lo, Sony has announced via its PlayStation Blog that Metal Gear Solid 4 on PS4, just as long as you have an active PS Now subscription. Weirdly, it’s chosen to bury the lede on both that and its EU counterpart blog, with the likes of Battlefield 4 and WWE 2K18 instead being given the headline treatment.

With that, the PS4 collection of Metal Gear Solid games is all but complete. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which contains Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 alongside Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 arrived on PS Now last month, although the original Metal Gear Solid is still MIA on the platform.

But that’s not all when it comes to PS Now’s March 2019 lineup, even if you’d be forgiven for thinking that Metal Gear Solid 4 is worth the price of admission alone. There’s also a whole bunch of other EU and US-specific games to pore over too, but none quite as hotly-anticipated as Old Snake’s final farewell.

On the US side of things, we have the following PS Now newcomers:

  • A Bastard’s Tale (PS4)

  • NBA 2K18 (PS4)
  • Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 (PS4)
  • Pool Nation (PS3)
