Mortal Kombat Is Being Ported To PC By ZoE HD And Kinect: Star Wars’ Developer

It's about time you get over here.

The popular 2011 release of Mortal Kombat has finally been confirmed for PCs. On July 3rd, it will release under the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition package which contains the game's entire history of DLC including several fighters: Freddy Krueger, Rain, Kenshi, and Skarlet.

The port job won't be done by NetherRealm Studios, though. Instead, a studio named High Voltage Software will be responsible for making the game run well on PCs. You might be familiar with its work from the Zone of the Enders HD Collections or Kinect Star Wars, works that weren't received particularly well. Hopes for improvements, particularly in the graphics department, are consequently not very high.

Initially, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will only be available as a digital download, presumably through distribution software such as Steam. However, On August 6th a physical version will land on store shelves.
