Harmonix Reveals Kinect-Centric Disney Music Game

Fantasia: Music Evolved is a new, upcoming Kinect-based game brought to you by Harmonix. The studio has teamed up with Disney to bring the classic musical experience right to your home in interactive form.

In the game you play as the Sorcerer's Apprentice (not Mickey, sadly) who is tasked with bringing music into the colorful Disney-inspired world. But it's not your typical Harmonix match-the-notes type of game, as “it’s less about music simulation and more about music creation,” according to the studio's John Drake.

The game features plenty of recognizable songs and modern-day music, which will undoubtedly appeal to a rather wide audience. In addition, the game will be coming to both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Obviously, the Xbox One's super-powered Kinect will be the ideal place to experience this new title.

For more on Fantasia: Music Evolved, be sure to keep it locked to GameRevolution in the coming days, as I'm sure we'll hear more about it at E3.
