Treyarch reveals new Black Ops Cold War Zombies map for Season 4

Call of Duty developer Treyarch has revealed a new Black Ops Cold War Zombies map called Mauer Der Toten, which it announced with a short teaser trailer on Twitter. The new Zombies map will be round-based and will be released during Black Ops Cold War Season 4, which starts today. Does that mean the COD Mauer Der Toten map release date is today, or is it coming later?

What is the release date for new Black Ops Cold War Zombies map Mauer Der Toten?

While there is no specific release date for Mauer Der Toten, based on what Treyarch has confirmed and past Season releases players can likely expect Mauer Der Toten to release around late July or August time.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 4 launches today, June 17, and it brings with it a lot of Zombies content, but unfortunately not Mauer Der Toten. Treyarch has confirmed that the new round-based map is “still in development” and will be released midway through Season 4, although the developer hasn’t said how long the season will last. Season 2 lasted three months, so probably expect the map to drop in the next two months.

Treyarch says that it has been working on Mauer Der Toten since before the release of Firebase Z, and it is “pulling out all the stops” for this new map. The developer confirms that the map will feature new enemies, missions, and plenty of secrets, as well as a new upgradable Perk, a new Wonder Weapon, and a new crafting item. Additionally, Grigori Weaver from the first Black Ops will make his debut as a playable Cold War Operator at the same time.

In other zombie-related news outside of Call of Duty, the mysterious Blue Box Games teased Silent Hill and then immediately recanted it, calling more attention to it. The rumored temporary Switch-exclusive Resident Evil Outrage failed to materialize at E3, although Capcom did confirm that it has Resident Evil Village DLC in the works, and like Mauer Der Toten it’s still in development.
