Is there a Catwoman HBO Max series on the way? News of a The Batman Penguin HBO Max series starring Colin Farrell has been reported online, as a spin-off to the eagerly-awaited next Batman movie coming in March, and fans are now wondering if there will be a similar spin-off starring Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman too. Could there be a The Batman Catwoman HBO Max movie or show? Well, it may have been revealed already, in fact.
Has a Catwoman HBO Max release date been revealed?
If the Catwoman HBO Max project has already begun production it could arrive as soon as late 2022, although 2023 is probably more likely as there is already a spin-off based on the GCPD that will be arriving first. The DC Fandome event is just next month so a confirmation and release date for a Catwoman spin-off to The Batman may get announced there.
Just yesterday, Variety reported that it had “learned from sources” that a spin-off series from The Batman movie is in discussion, which will be based around Colin Farrell’s Oswald ‘The Penguin’ Cobblepot. This joins the Gotham City Police Department series that is already in production. While intriguing news, fans are hopeful that this will roll into the reveal of a series or movie based around Zoë Kravitz as Selina ‘Catwoman’ Kyle.

Rumors of a possible Catwoman spin-off for The Batman actually started last year, with the project reportedly having a hand in the cancelation of the High Fidelity series starring Zoë Kravitz. Catwoman is a major DC Comics character who has had multiple fantastic solo stories, so she’s certainly worthy of another live-action project to sweep away the taste of the awful Halle Berry movie. Hopefully, Catwoman will be announced at DC Fandome next month, alongside the confirmation of The Batman’s age rating and the reveal of a Fortnite movie crossover.
