[Update] Sega has confirmed that there is no Wii U version of Alien: Isolation in development. The game's official Twitter account confirmed the news.
Considering Wii U's rather weak install base, this isn't particularly surprising, despite the publisher's recent Sonic-centric partnership with Nintendo.
[Original] Sega has officially unveiled a brand-new title set in the Alien universe. It's called Alien: Isolation and is set for release sometime late this year for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Check out the debut trailer above.
Creative Assembly, the development team behind this first-person horror title, is confident that it will do right by the Alien brand. According to the studio's creative lead, Alistair Hope, "In Alien: Isolation, we have taken the series back to the roots of Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie, the original survival horror. Our Alien is a truly terrifying creature, as intelligent as he is hostile, relentless, brutal and unstoppable. This is the Alien game fans of the series have always wanted."
