Microsoft Turned Down PS4 Exclusive Rime, Believes It Was a Mistake

Rime, the PlayStation 4-exclusive adventure game developed by Tequila Works, was initially turned down by Microsoft.

In fact, Tequila Works initially came to Microsoft, according to leaked documents, to make the game an Xbox One exclusive, but the Big M turned the studio down. Back then it was known as Echoes of Siren, and for whatever reason Microsoft didn't think it was worth backing.

Microsoft's Phil Spencer addressed the company's decision to pass on the game on Twitter, admitting that it was ultimately a mistake.

There's still no word on when Rime will be launching, but you can be sure of one thing, it'll only be available on PlayStation 4.
