PS4 Price Goes Up in Canada

Gamers in the True North had best be prepared for a price hike on quite a few things, due to the falling value of the Canadian dollar. Sony is the latest to adjust its price according to market, raising the price of the PlayStation 4 to $449.99 CAD on Saturday. An ad originally found on The Source is among the first to feature the increased price. Hopeful gamers had been looking forward to disputes from Sony, but won't find any, as the company has confirmed to the Toronto Sun that the price jump is official. The PS4 camera has seen a $5 price increase.

Software prices for both Xbox One and PS4 have recently climbed $5, from $59.99 to $64.99. While the Xbox One software has gone up in price, the Sun claims that a Microsoft spokesperson said that its console's price will remain unchanged.

So in a world where everything else goes up in price, but one product doesn't… does that kind of count as a price drop?

(Not really.)
