Sting Set to Debut in WWE 2K15 as Pre-Order Bonus

Once upon a time, the most powerful empire in professional wrestling, WWE (then known as “the WWF”) had a serious challenger in World Championship Wrestling, resulting in a “clash” between the two that wrestling fans would come to call the Monday Night Wars. Wrestling fans who pre-order WWE 2K15 will be one step closer to recreating those Monday Night Wars with their pre-order bonus, the inclusion of the face of the WCW in the '90s, Sting.

Sting will make his debut in the 2015 volume of 2K's annual WWE game, in both his famous mysterious black-and-white facepainted version and his earlier, blond-flattopped look. According to press releases as well as the teaser trailer shown on 2K's YouTube page, the two versions of Sting will play as separate and unique characters.

Born Steve Borden, Sting would go on to win eight WCW championships over the span of the decade, fighting notable battles against major wrestling icons such as Hulk Hogan in his “Hollywood” days, Rick Rude, and the New World Order. Sting will wind up in the roster of those who pre-order WWE 2K15 for PS3/PS4 or Xbox 360/One, set to release on October 28, 2014 in North America.
